When did you get started with fitness?
When i was 16 years old my mom won a free gym membership. Due to her lack of interest she passed it on to me. This was the first time i had ever thought about going to a gym and looked at it as more of a social thing. Nonetheless the rest was history. After the free membership expired i signed myself up! I had found one of my passion’s in life.
How do you stay so motivated? What drives you?
This is such a frequently asked question. My answer is always going to be the same. The day i don’t enjoy doing what i do, i’ll stop. I love doing what i do. Lately i have been training in the early hours of the morning. I actually cannot wait for my alarm to go off and hit the gym! So what motivates me to train and work harder then most? The love for what i do.
What has been the hardest obstacle for you to overcome?
There are always going to be obstacles in life. Regardless of what you do or where you want to be. How you come back from these obstacles is the true test of one’s character. Every future success is based off of passed failures. I have learnt from my past failures and will continue to do so until the day i die. It’s this ability to keep learning that has equated to my success.
What does your current training schedule/program look like?
I could be specific. But there is no specific answer to this question. Therefore any static answer would be a misconception of how i train. The only consistency is change. Every month i change my workout program up. Currently I’m training 6 days per week(Monday-Saturday) hitting each muscle group twice per week.
Give us a breakdown of your daily diet.
I have just started a small cut for the 2015 Arnold Classic in Melbourne Australia. I am on at least 1g of protein per pound of lean body weight and 0.4g of fat per pound of lean body weight. Keep in mind these are only my daily minimums. My total calorie intake is 2400. The macro’s change daily keeping the minimums in mind.
Do you take any supplements to reach your fitness goals
Over the years i have tried everything. Now all i use is EHP Labs. Supplements are at the end of the day optional. But optional extras that i highly recommend. If i am going to use something i want to be sure i can trust what I’m taking. That’s why i now only supplement with EHP Labs products.
What is your single biggest “Fitness” related accomplishment?
Being able to help the amount of people i have. Changing peoples lives on such a magnitude is the greatest thing ill ever accomplish.
Is there anyone in the fitness industry you look up to?
I look up to multiple individuals in the fitness industry. All for varying reasons. Eg physique/achievements etc. Arnold “The king” is always worth a mention.
Name a fitness “Myth” that just isn’t true no matter how many times you hear it?
Where do i start lol. Weight training at an early age can stunt your growth. Got to be the most iterating these days.
