When did you get started with fitness?
I had always wanted to compete but never really had the confidence to just sign up and step on stage. There was a small show in Albuquerque New Mexico which was no too far from home so I decided if I don’t just take that leap and do it….I never will; so I did and won. I was addicted to the sport there after! I regrouped, changed my training program to improve my physique for a larger show. I competed in Arizona in March of 2010 also placing in the top 3 in my class. Next, Fitness New Mexico Muscle Mania contracted with Hard Rock for the event and this was a great opportunity to get a great sponsor and some exposure so I did it. Placed 2nd in both divisions I competed in and won the Overall Cover Model/ Spokes model for the Hard Rock! I could not be any happier. From that I qualified to go to Miami 3 weeks after for Fitness Universe. I went and grabbed my spot as runner up bikini universe.
Moreover, here I am today doing what I love in the industry working with the best sponsor I could have Champion Nutrition. Training, eating clean, modeling, tons of upcoming work.
What drives you to be so fit?
Motivation comes from self determination and my fans whom inspire me to keep training hard. I also want to set a good example for my daughter and prove to myself that it’s always mind over matter. Plus, I like what I see in the mirror when I work hard! If I slip up on training or my diet; that motivates the hell out of me.
What has been the hardest obstacle for you to overcome?
Balancing my time with my daughter, work, clients, training, etc… It’s all a very fine line! It keeps me busy and on my toes that’s for sure.

What does your diet look like?
My diet is mainly veggies, lean meats (turkey, chicken, eggs, whey protein powder etc), some complex carbs like brown rice, oats, sweet potatoes and A LOT of water. I use a lot of spices and cooking methods to keep it alive.
Do you Take Any Supplements?
I use all Champion Nutrition products and without a shadow of doubt recommend them to anyone! They are such good clean products that taste well as well. I take the digestive enzymes, whey, BCAA’s, glutamine, just the basics.
What Is Your Favorite Body Part To Train?
Shoulders or legs! It’s a toss up. I love training my shoulders because I have needed to round them out so there is nothing like really training them hard and seeing the results! Legs are a different story, I think me and leg day have a love/hate relationship. There is nothing like the feeling of not being able to walk when you leave the gym.
If you could start back from the first day you started training would you do anything different?
Nothing! I am who I am today because of the things I have done in the past whether they be mistakes or not! There have been challenges I have had to overcome and there still is but this is what builds overall character.
Is there anyone in the fitness industry you look up to?
There are so many! Its hard to name one, but I like Monica Brant, Jamie Eason, Arnold, Dorian Yates, Phil heath …etc
Final advice for readers?
I believe consistency is the key to success! You must believe you can get the physique of your dreams. Put the image in your mind and keep it there tell you achieve it. Also keep yourself prepared! Cook all your meals, pack them to go, set dates/time for your training and don’t forget the importance of sleep! Sleep can make or break you.
